SUNYIT - Utica, NY
25th National African-American Read-In

In observance of Black History Month, students, faculty and staff at SUNYIT will participate in the 25th National African-American Read-In in the Cayan Library’s Mele Room. The goal of the Read-In is to make the celebration of African-American literacy a traditional part of Black History Month. Each year, a single 24-hour period is designated during the month of February, and attendance at events held during that time are tallied to affirm global interest in the writings of African-Americans.A packet of readings authored by African-American writers will be made available at the event for those who wish to participate.
